PUBLICATION GUIDELINES


The Cyrillo-Methodian Research Centre has its own publishing programme, administered by a specialised publishing unit. The Centre’s publications present the research achievements of scholars in Cyrillo-Methodian studies and Palaeoslavic studies from Bulgaria and around the world. Through its publishing activities, the Centre fulfils its coordinating role as an important European publishing centre for scholarly literature in the field of Cyrillo-Methodian studies. This activity is developed in several areas.

CYRILLO-METHODIAN STUDIES (1984–) is a series specialising in Cyrillo-Methodian studies and publishing monographs, studies and articles by Bulgarian and international scholars. Contributions are published in Bulgarian, in all Slavic languages, as well as in English, German and French.

PALAEOBULGARICA / STAROBULGARISTIKA (1977–) is an international scholarly journal devoted to the comprehensive study of the oldest Slavic culture – Old Bulgarian culture.

BOOKS – The Cyrillo-Methodian Research Centre prepares and publishes books in the fields of Cyrillo-Methodian studies and Old Bulgarian studies, either independently or in cooperation with other institutions. The publications are authored not only by scholars from the Centre, but also by a broad range of Bulgarian specialists and international researchers. They are published in English, Bulgarian, German, French, Russian, Italian and Ukrainian.
