Accredited PhD programs


The Cyrillo-Methodian Research Centre is accredited to provide doctoral training in the following academic fields and PhD programmes:

2.1. Philology – Theory and History of Literature (Cyrillo-Methodian Studies)
2.1. Philology – Bulgarian Literature (Cyrillo-Methodian Studies)
2.1. Philology – Bulgarian Language (Cyrillo-Methodian Studies)
2.2. History and Archaeology – History of Bulgaria (Cyrillo-Methodian Studies)

Accredited PhD Programmes at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on the website of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA)

Doctoral training leading to the award of the PhD degree is offered in full-time, part-time and individual-study formats. Admission is conducted following the announcement of a competitive procedure in the State Gazette and on the website of the Cyrillo-Methodian Research Centre.

Admission to full-time or part-time doctoral training is through a competitive procedure held no earlier than two months after its announcement in the State Gazette, in accordance with Article 3, Paragraph 2 of the Law on the Development of Academic Staff in the Republic of Bulgaria.
