On 10 October 2026, an exhibition by the Cyrillo-Methodian Research Centre at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (CMRC–BAS), entitled “To Him Be Glory and Honour, and Worship…”, was presented at the municipal centre in the town of Suhindol. The event marked the 1,110th anniversary of the Dormition of St Clement of Ohrid. The exhibition is dedicated to the enduring legacy of Saints Cyril and Methodius and their disciples.
The exhibition panels feature reproductions of icons of St Cyril and St Methodius dating from the second half of the nineteenth century. The originals are held in the following churches: the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Pazardzhik; the Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God in Prilep; the Church of St Athanasius in Varna; the Church of St George in Belovo; the Church of St Nedelya in the village of Narechen; and the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in the village of Staro Stefanovo. The exhibition also includes an image of the two saints from the mural on the southern façade of the Monastery of St Petka near the village of Muldava. The exhibition concept was developed by Chief Assistant Professor Dr Totka Grigorova, and the graphic design was created by Ivelina Velinova.
The event at the Municipality of Suhindol formed part of the official jubilee celebrations marking the 160th anniversary of the birth of Marko Vachkov (1866–1936). On this occasion, the book Marko Vachkov: A Life, an Era by Dr Diana Miteva was also presented. The publication was produced with the support of the Municipality of Suhindol and the Central Cooperative Union. Associate Professor Dr Iva Trifonova of CMRC–BAS served as the book’s editor, while Professor Dr Nadya Manolova-Nikolova and Professor Dr Krasimir Asenov acted as reviewers.
